- The story
- The studio is in Ludhiana, and the work stays there from first drawing to final press. Instagram is where a collection is seen first and where the conversation about it happens — this site is simply the place it all sits still long enough to be looked at properly.
- The aesthetic
- Restraint, mostly. Colour held back so the work can be seen. Silhouettes that fall rather than announce. Heritage technique in a contemporary line — an anarkali cut clean, a sharara without ornament for its own sake.
- The vision
- To keep making clothes that carry where they come from without dressing up as the past — and to keep the making visible, so the craft is the first thing you notice, not the last.
The craft
Several pairs of hands.
Aari, zardozi, gota, hand-set thread. Every piece passes through several pairs of hands before it is finished, and those hours are what you are looking at when you look closely at a neckline or a hem.
